*chuckles* I sat in the theater watching the Turtles that my little sister adored while growing up. I couldn't believe it really, kinda nostalgic. I remembered my sister's "ninja moves" and how she wore a Halloween costume one year as one of the Turtles, but I don't remember which. . .but there I was, with my own kids, watching these green critters once more take on the evils of NY City. Was it a fun movie? Oh yes, it was. It brought back memories. *smiles*

The brothers reunite after a year and months of having been without Leo. He's been away training to be a better leader. They must banned together to fight and defeat a group of stone generals and nasty monsters that were cursed over 3000 years ago.

The artistry is superb and the dialog is just the way the turtles were in the 80's.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. . .Hero's in a half-shell. . .Turtle power. ;) Enjoy this film with your kids, and who knows, you may find yourself looking back and either saying. . .I remember so and so was my favorite, or I remember when my sister/brother did this. . .

Meet the Robinsons. . .a sweet family movie. Lewis is an orphan who feels he has no family, no future, no life worth much, until he meets a boy from the future who takes him on a journey of self-discovery and friendship. Okay. . .Now, onto my more colorful reviews. *wink*

This movie had outstanding graphics, then again if you turn in a movie with shitty detail, then you suck as an artist, producer, or whatever they call those folks that put all of this together for us viewers.

This isn't a knee-slapping movie; it isn't a comedy. It is a touching film, with some funny parts, but mainly it is a deep moving story. You won't leave holding your side from laughing too hard. You won't leave the theater with wet cheeks from crying either. You'll probably leave feeling the same we did. . ."Oh isn't that sweet." That's not a bad thing mind you, it's a good thing.

This movie is available at some cinemas in 3-D. We didn't see it in 3-D, but I certainly would love to! I think that would be very cool. :D

Enjoy this film with your little ones, but there's no need to rent a child for it. ;) Wait for DVD, unless you want to see it 3-D, then I'd say 3-D all the way, big screen theater and a large popcorn at your side.

The Ultimate Gift

A very nice family movie. This is a PG movie and it is really very touching. A young man whose never had to work a day in his life is about to inherit a gift. . .several in fact, if he can complete the tasks set before him in his Grandfather's will.

This is just what I said in the first sentence. . .a very nice family movie. Sentimental and well played by several unknown actors/actresses and well known ones. For a nice, quiet day at the movies, enjoy "The Ultimate Gift." :-)

Ghost Rider. . .

My spouse and I watched "Ghost Rider" with Nicholas Cage. First, Hubby liked it (incase my review doesn't sit well with the men folk and they want a man's opinion... ;). Now my review. . .

I thought the lines were cheesy and the acting lacked depth, character, and well coolness. The graphics however were very good. Nicholas Cage plays the hero from Marvel comics. After he makes a deal with the Devil, he goes on with life, tempting fate and trying (In my opinion) to off himself in as many ways as he can. . .yet is unsuccessful. . .but why!? (gasp) The Devil is looking out for him. . .*wink* *wink*

The story plays out with minions working under the Son of Hell in hopes to gain a contract of a thousand souls. Sam Elliot (YUMMY) I sooooo love Sam Elliot. . .*sighs wistfully and moans*

Sorry lost myself. Anyway... I would not run out and watch this at the theater, unless you are going for the effects. The acting is worthy of a DVD rental or a $7.50 special deal from Wal-Mart.
